We are pleased to invite you to join 1628 Ltd. to view our newest exhibition. no vacancy features works by 5 local artists including: Bridgette Bogle, Matt Coors, Jeffrey Cortland Jones, Carene Hoskins, and Josh Newell. This exhibition includes works in enamel, synthetic felt, fabric, and works on surfaces such as newspaper and sheet steel. Artists today are pushed to create their own processes and techniques because contemporary art has no vacancies, most ideas and techniques have already been played out. This need for invention creates the opportunity for experimentation and striking examples of transformations of common conventions of fine art.
“Our commitment to creating an inspiring environment through art means always connecting with artists working in new and exciting ways. This summer’s exhibition coincides with the expansion of our facility – the beginning of our future and a peek into the future possibilities of contemporary art .” -Tamara Schwarting, CEO and Founder, 1628 Ltd.
no vacancy will be on display June 2019 through August 2019
