Saturation: An Exploration of Vibrancy
Summer is the season of boundless possibilities and pure joy. As the days get longer, the city of Cincinnati comes alive through the hearts of its residents. The energy in the air is strong; it brings people together to create memories in smiles and laughter. There’s so much to appreciate – from being around those who bring joy to exploring the vibrant colors of freshly bloomed flora.
There’s no better way to embrace this positivity than through art. The city has been blessed with a thriving creative culture, offering up talented artists that have the same goal as the summer breeze: to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. The purpose of the Saturation exhibition is to use vibrant colors to bring a sense of brightness and positivity to those who enter. Featuring art created by local artists, viewers are able to experience an environment full of laughter and an overall feeling of cheerfulness.
The pieces showcased in this exhibition will capture the vibrant aspects of modern pop culture as well as the free-spirited energy captured by artists. Each work carries a unique message intended to evoke a smile, a laugh, fond memories, or even just an “Oh Wow!” reaction. With every wall of this exhibition offering up color and excitement, it’s easy for patrons to find something new that will leave them feeling energized and inspired.
Saturation will give the spotlight to artists from the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky areas. We provide a space to give local artists the chance to not only sell their work, but a chance for their work to mean something to someone else.
1628 Ltd. is accepting all mediums: painting/drawing, photography, mixed media, 3D works, etc. Experienced and emerging artists are encouraged to participate. We recommended that artwork be minimally 11” x 14” to be considered for this show. However, if your work does not fit the minimum size yet still works with the theme, please feel free to apply.

The deadline to submit for the exhibition is Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at 11:59 PM. The final decisions of the art to be featured will be decided by Thursday, April 6th, 2023.

Medium: 1628 Ltd. is accepting all mediums: painting/drawing, photography, mixed media, 3D works, etc.
Scale: Our gallery has multiple large walls that would be ideal for larger art installations. Submissions of large-format works or collections are encouraged. Generally, individual works submitted need to be minimally 11” x 14” for consideration.
Eligibility: Established and emerging artists are encouraged to apply with up to 4 works per artist. Works should promote productivity and inspiration for our members, be appropriate for a professional workplace setting, and be sturdy, durable, and ready to hang upon delivery (artwork should be ready to be hung with the appropriate hardware).
Entry fee: There is no entry fee for submissions.
Artist Commission: 1628 Ltd. is committed to supporting the local art community. Artists will receive 75% of the retail sale price while the remaining 25% commission is retained by 1628 Ltd. All pricing of exhibited artwork will be determined by the artist and published in the exhibition catalog.
Liability: 1628 Ltd. will ensure all work up to the listed retail price, and provides a secure facility that is not open to the general public. Professional installation and de-installation are provided.
Photography rights: Copyright and reproduction rights are reserved by the artist. 1628 Ltd. reserves permission to use images of the works for marketing and record-keeping purposes.
